At this point it feels like Romero now resembles his zombies. Cluelessly shambling about with just the faintest of notions of what they did in a past life still in their head. It's like there's one more good zombie movie left in him, he just can't quite figure out how to make it happen. Le tragic.

The best part of this movie is that they bring back a very side character from Diary of the Dead and base it mostly around him. Unfortunately it really doesn't work as the story is almost ludicrous. I wouldn't mind Romero leaving the zombie franchise for something else (or at least letting someone else write his scripts), but I have a feeling he's been pigeon-holed and can't get out. Only huge zombie fans need watch.

So pretty much the Hatfields and the McCoys with zombies? Has it gotten to the point where Romero is plugging in historical situations in a zombie setting? If he tries using fiction, I would suggest not using Pride and Predjudice - that's already been done. How about Romeo and Juliet in the next one, George? In all seriousness, I liked the idea of reusing characters from DotD, but I felt nothing for them. I didn't care if they succeeded or failed. And who cares about $$$ after zombie apocalypse?

People didn't like that movie, when it first came out- and to be honest, they still don't like it. But I think it is great, it is funny and not too much silly. I say: give it a watch.

While its still a decent zombie film I was disappointed having loved the majority of the 'Dead' films released over the past couple of years. Characters weren't likeable enough for you to care what happened to them. Decent storyline which flowed well but there simply wasn't enough action except for a shooting showdown at the end of the film. The Gore level was also a little low, but having said that it managed to keep my attention long enough and I seem to have a soft spot for zombie flicks ;)

A horror movie about zombies, in which the zombies are reduced to the state of being nothing more but an annoyance and the horror is only manifested in the horrible script and acting. I can appreciate it trying to be different, but I'm also quite sure that Romero is slowly becoming a zombie himself, as his movies keep getting crappier with each new installment.

The latest instalment in George A Romero's zombie saga, and I'm sort of hoping it's the last. Romero was never subtle in his social satire, but at this point that's really all that remains, since the moral dilemma isn't very well done and the aesop "stop fighting each other and face the real problem" is ridiculously overdone by the end. There's a nice Romeroesque twist near the end, some nice splatter (even if it's mostly CGI by now, I miss Tom Savini), but overall a fairly dull movie.

Made for TV budget and soap opera quality acting. The movies idiocy can be summed up with the fact that the characters find a large cache of money and act impressed even making plans on how they could live off of it. In the post apocalypse. With no currency system and the majority of the population dead. This movie is awful, so awful I was transfixed to the end waiting to see if each scene would be worst than the last. Its time for Romero to be put out to pasture.

Plotwise it's a cliche. But, a George Romero cliche. I mean, he invented much of these stuff. He's probably gone use them until he's dead... Maybe even after he's dead. The movie has a nice anti-war/terror ending message. Considering the lousy plot, it was a nice idea at the end (looked like a cheap Windows XP background, but still...). Lastly, zombie killings are creative and humorous as usual.

I know I shouldn't expect much from a zombie movie, but this one stings because somewhere buried under what feels like a rushed script with needlessly cheesy dialogue and lazy writing is a good movie with relatively fresh ideas. Van Sprang is a great poor man's RDJ. Welsh and Karkanis are great as well, but the rest of the cast is definitely second rate. Why can't George A. fucking Romero get a little more cash for effects and actors? So much wasted potential here.

This isn't very good, even by horror movie standards. I've never been a fan of Romero but this is just terribly mediocre no matter how you slice it. None of the characters are particularly interesting and the conflict between the humans just feels forced and stupid far more often than a genuine critique. You can easily give this one a miss, whether or not you like zombie flicks.

Sooo.. this was supposed to be a comedy, right? Everything about this film is hilariously inept. The worst thing might be how blasé every character is about the fact that the world is being overrun by the undead. "Oh I guess there's some zombies walking around whatevs brah let's go do out of character stuff for the flimsiest of reasons." Instantly kills any tension there might otherwise have been. Romero, you hack.

Wish Romero could get a bigger budget and give us a Dead entry that can rival the original trilogy. Some effects are even a bit dated for the B-grade scene. Happy with anything I get from a franchise that keeps on giving even if its showing its cracks. On par with "Diary of the Dead'.
