I found it decidedly more tubular than radical. It felt bodacious at times when it clearly needed to be hellacious.

This movie has exactly one good scene: the Leo vs. Raph fight. Oh, and Splinter gets in a few good lines. Everything else is either forgettable or just plain bad.

The characters and dialogue are as deep as you'd expect them to be, the animation is ok (some of the movements looked kinda slow and stiff, but all in all nice to watch), and the story was like... "Hey, we're dealing with other dimensions and immortality and mutated turtles - There's no need to make any sense!" Still, if you manage to shut up the critic inside you for a bit, there's some fun to be had here.

I didn't really get into the whole plot about the monsters, but the Leonardo/Raphael drama was executed extremely well. However, this also meant that Donatello and Michelangelo unfortunately got the shaft, with barely any screen time. Also, the animation was great for the turtles but pretty bad for the humans. Enjoyable overall though.

Surprisingly shitty animation, and a dumb yet convoluted story involving ancient demons and monsters from another plane of existence. Plus you get the obligatory "Raph being an asshole to Leo" subplot, and April has somehow morphed from a news reporter into a ninja version of Lara Croft. Can't the turtles just say cowabunga and beat up some Foot soldiers? The lazy attempts at creating a grim atmosphere are wasted on the bloodless, PG combat. At least the Foot are real ninja and not robots.

The geeky Ninja Turtle fan inside of me wants to really like this movie, but the logical bits of my brain tell me it's a bad film. I'll have to settle somewhere near the middle. The animation isn't bad but it's lacking. Character designs are almost all poor. The plot's pretty damn stupid. Why's April become some sort of Lara Croft/ninja? I can go on but space is limited. Otherwise there's enough to amuse Turtles fans and little kids but not anyone else.

Well enough made, but many sections feel as if designed with the companion video game in mind. Whether true or not, that's how it feels. Mostly, it is a bit too brooding for me. The turtles should brood a bit, yes. But some of the best parts that are missing here are the comic interludes from Mikey and Donny. Those two have blessed little to do in this movie. Hopefully, now that they've re-introduced the characters, they can move on to a more fully realized movie in the future.

This feels like a film-length version of a TV show. As someone who, as a kid, was into the goofier Secret of the Ooze, this all feels very...okay. They feel more like Adult Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Not as bad as I expected, but that's not saying all that much. The plot is preposterous, too much time is spent on whiny & unlikeable Raphael, and the best scenes - some nicely animated action sequences -are too few. It's kind of fun and not too bad for fans of the series, but it's not a a good movie.

Aside the Original movie this is my favorite, That being said there is a lot of room for improvement but it's a fun reintroduction to the group too bad they made the bullshit 2014 movie instead of a sequel to this.

The overall look of the film is excellent, but if I may deliberately misquote a certain Tyrannosaurus Rex, "Feelings are boring. Fighting is awesome!" Every time folks would sit around rambling about betrayal and loyalty and whatever, the movie seemed to grind to a halt. Also, what's with mush-mouthed Splinter?

First off I'm going to say I'm a TMNT. I grew up with them so the nostalgia runs pretty high. Now, if you didn't grow up with them as a kid or enjoy them as a kid now this won't entertain you very much. The Raph and Leo fighting gets pretty tired and overdone and the story isn't anything special but this movie is fun! It had a considerable amount of pretty funny gags, I loved the art direction and the action was pretty neat. See it if you're a TMNT fan, pass on it if you're not.

TMNT is an entertaining movie about our favorite turtle heroes. I grew up with the Ninja Turtles so I think I might give them more of a pass than might be prudent but this was a fun movie in parts. There was a lot of quality voice talent in this movie as well. The producers really wanted this to be a big reboot for the series. I was glad that Shredder didn't make an appearance in this story so it felt very fresh because of that. The story stood on it's own merits but it also lead into a series.

Nostalgic stirrings elevate this game effort slightly, but it is unfortunate that the screenplay (and characterisations) are simplistic on the level of average Saturday morning cartoons - a well stocked cast do their best to bring life to an overly familiar and derivative plot, but the animation is the worst sort of mid-aughts, uncanny valley hideousness, further dragging things down. I can't be too harsh on the Ninja Turtles, and the last drops of "Turtle Power" get this barely over the line.

TMNT was definitely aimed at a younger audience, maybe 7-13 years old range. The character design and animation is very cool for all but human characters, but that's just part of what kids are used to nowadays. Iif you're a hardcore fan of the old school show and films, you might still enjoy it enough. The Mirage Comic fans will be the ones who get the most out of it though, as the story is a little incomplete. If you know what fills the holes, then you'll dig it. Pretty good!

So wait, wait. These monsters were unleashed thousands of years ago and were just hanging around the world all that time later? Never dealt with, never caused havoc? Yeah. Splinter's voice actor does not sound good in this. A shame since he's done other good work. Passed soon of cancer afterward, and while sympathetic... shouldn't have been cast voicing Splinter in that condition. Eye candy but little else of value in the movie. Don and Mike have little screen time compared to Leo and Raph.

I may not be able to relive my affection for those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that saddens me. This movie may not have been aimed at my generation, the 80s generation that grew up with the cartoon and the action figures. I just couldn't get into it, no matter how hard I tried. It's the same deal with the new 2-D animated cartoons.

Not bad, but it was 80% talking/character development and 20% action, and that's the wrong approach with this. I really would've loved more attention to the monsters - they looked amazing - and less attention to the tired Raph/Leo personality clash that's been done before. And April was a terrible character. Needed more Rocksteady/Bebop/Baxter Stockman.

After the disastrously horrible Ninja Turtles films of the early 90s, doing this one in CG just seems like a flash of brilliance. I would have liked to see a slightly more serious film about the Turtles, but ultimately this is a kids movie and it succeeds as such.

I love the live action ninja turtles as much as the next guy, but I think animation is where they work best. The action scenes just look and feel so much more authentic. The animation in this film is beautiful and the dynamics between all the turtles is very compelling for fans even if the overall plot is not. Not everyone will care about it but fans of the franchise shouldn't miss it. I would love a sequel, even if it was straight to DVD.

Very odd movie, in that I couldn't tell who the target was. New Turtle fans won't get the "jump right in" pacing; it's a PG movie but has an advanced, curving storyline. Also, almost no Donatello makes it lose ~5 points.

This was a fun animated film that I would highly recommend to fans of the TMNT, especially those who saw the first three entries in the series. The villains are bland and humorless, but the focus is, as it should be, on the tension between the Turtles, with Leonardo's optimism clashing with Raphael's realism. I guess the one thing I wish it could've done differently is to give Michaelangelo and Donatello more importance - they seem like mere background more than vital, dynamic characters.

If you know nothing about TMNT, you'll be super lost. There's no proper explanation about the turtle's origins or backstory on the main characters. Most of the screen time is dedicated to a beef between Leo and Raph (who's a major dick) whilst the others are disgracefully forgotten. Weak story for adults, the jokes are kinda lame and not enough of pizza - total blasphemy! Cool animation, though, I'd play it if it was a videogame.
