Takers

Here's the kind of movie you glance at on a Saturday afternoon while walking back and forth to the kitchen. Everything in the movie has been seen and done before. Want a better crime thriller? Check out The Town, Heat, or even the silly 2003 Italian Job (which this movie references and steals ideas from). Filled with mostly low-rent actors, a few bad actors, hyper-stylized bloodless violence, and some senseless plotting, 'Takers' can be entertaining here and there, but it's not worth your time.

T.I. is awful. It's bad when the best actor was Paul Walker.

It's not the best heist movie, but they throw many alright scenes or elements that end up making it hard to dismiss it entirely.

I'm not much of a fan of crime-action movies, but I have seen a few, and Takers is just the same old material, especially compared with the remakes of Ocean's Eleven and The Italian Job. Maybe a big fan of crime-action will enjoy this, but this movie is only good for something to watch while distracted.

Wonder if Chris Brown had the idea of the Parkour-scene....run of the mill brainless action movie, but turn off the brain and it's not that bad.

A couple of cool action scenes can't make up for the poor acting and generic script which even admits to borrowing from other movies in its dialogue.

The storyline was a somewhat predictable, and the way the characters spoke was kind of annoying at times. It was an ok action movie that tried to straddle the typical heist movie and detective movie, and include shoot-out scenes in a poetic way. I liked Matt Dillon's detective and his partner, and felt for Cozier, but somehow, the rest of the portrayals were too brief (there were just too many of them). Fun and action-packed, but not the best. Nice to see Paul Walker on the other side.

I love Idris Elba and always love seeing him in a gangster/criminal role (you know, cuz of the Wire). Unfortunately I also hate Chris Brown and TI deserved to be hit by Brown. Ultimately this movie fails to be a more serious Oceans 11 (which it wanted to be).

Some good actors and some ok ones, mostly watchable despite bad camera work and editing and musical choices. Heist/s needed to be more interesting, intricate.

I liked that it was a suspenseful and intense heist movie without the excessive language and graphic violence. More realistic ending too!

REVIEW TO DO

Like the Italian Job meets Fast and the Furious. Except lacking the best parts of both of those movies.

A very good saurday afternoon movie. The action is great and some great tension is created. The action isn't cheesy like a lot of other similar movies, it's big, but kept very tight and in control. The guy "T.I" I found very annoying, and just didn't fit with the rest of what was a very good cast

Birinci sınıf aksiyon filmi. Başta Matt Dillon olmak üzere Kadro müthiş, müzikler 2000 sonrası filmlerin aksine çok iyi, tempo ve özellikle aksiyon sahneleri çok başarılı. Gerçekten her yönüyle kalite akıyor filmden.

Despite ripping off every heist film before it I found this to be a somewhat fun film to watch.The acting,except by Matt Dillion, just barely suffices.The action set pieces were cool even if they have been done before.

The action parts were allright, but whenever the movie slowed down everything from bad acting to a bad script went wrong... I like the idea of not having a central character in a movie like this, but dammit this one is poorly executed! And Chris Brown as a parkour bad ass... Give me a break!

The movie is yet another action movie which has an extremely predictable story and a lot of brainless shooting. The movie tries to be extremely stylish but doesnt make the cut. The chase which has the feature of parkour doesnt look natural either. The movie can be entertaining for a few but overall the movie is below par.

Chris Brown kills cops and beats women

Great cast of criminals staging robberies with precision escapes. This clandestine operation eventually comes unraveled when a con returns from prison with his own agenda. Most of the movie is believable but violent. Some good action but at times too predictable. Music was great and the action sequences were broken up too much, but it was worth watching. The police roles were not very credible or convincing. The actor T.I. sucked. Zoe Saldana was pretty hot. Lots of action saves it.

Some moments are enjoyable, but overall it's pretty bad. Characters are dry, story lacks real substance, and spoiler alert: Chris Brown's character gives them away to the police, ruins the plan, and loses some of the money. This is only further evidence that he should not be allowed on screen. Or stage. In fact he should just go into hiding and stop polluting mainstream entertainment.

A heist flick pulled off with so much visual conviction that the narrative shortcomings only hurt the ending. That, and just killer action scenes.

nice cars, nice suits and lots of action 10 out of 10 really cool cast of stars

Ticks enough boxes to be watchable.
