Locked doors, boarded windows, an eclectic troupe besieged by oncoming Eeevil. When approached with the right spirit, as here, these scenarios have a satisfyingly trashy charm. Sadler's always engaging, Pounder's earnest and Zane forgets that he's supposed to suck. Fun.

The tits in this film rocked my 10 year old world.

Billy Zane is incredibly wow, Jada is badass, and the effects are beyond B, and the mythos should have become a series.

for a flick that never saw theatres, damn this was good. Great actors, amazing story and good special effects for the time. my only complaint is that this movie wasnt longer, nor did it spawn any sequels.

Tales of the crypt hits hollywood and what we get is pretty much an hour anda half long episode with a bigger budget and half, semi big actors. The story is cool and played out well. The acting is a bit better than expected, the directing (pacing, timing of lines,editing etc) is slightly better than the usual, and there is enough gore to call it a proper tales of the crypt story. A must watch for horror fans or fans of the series!

The book ends on the film were terrible! The film wasn't so bad though.

A Tales from the Crypt episode stretched out over 90 minutes, no more, no less. Skillfully but not artistically done.

Silly monster flick with lots of boobs and gore, a fun performance from Billy Zane, and Thomas Hayden Church getting his nipples hooked up to a car battery. Good times.

While not one of the top horror/thriller movies ever made, it was a good first transition for the Tales from The Crypt brand from cable to the big screen. Bill Sadler rocks as usual, with good supporting performances from Billy Zane and a host of others.

Perfect combination of horror and comedy. It knows when to be serious and when to be funny. Also has a surprisingly good storyline. Any horror or Tales from the Crypt fan should check this out.

Great Splatter fun movie !

I liked it alot more when I was 12...(Yes, my parents let me watch this at 12...go cry about it). But, I watched it this morning and it's still in the mildly amusing category.

Cheesy fun with female nudity and gore...Something that is all too rare in American cineplexes these days.

i would have never thought that a tales from the crypt movie would turn out like this, which is pure awesomeness. the cast is definately good, and it's got a scary story that isn't completely stupid like most hollywood horror movies.

A pretty effective flick. I like the story.
