Summary: Kanchana (Urvashi), frustrated with her housewife life & overcome with an inferiority complex after the arrival of her brother-in-law Mohanan's (Jayaram) working wife Shailaja (Parvathi), misleads her husband Sukumaran (Sreenivasan) to turn against his family. Sukumaran, Kanchana & their daughter starts living apart in a rented house in a posh colony.
