Summary: While on their way home for Thanksgiving break, five college kids run afoul of a homicidal turkey that wants them dead. As the cursed bird hunts them down one by one, the survivors scramble to find a way to defeat the possessed creature. Will the bloodthirsty turkey make this their last Thanksgiving feast ever? Writer-director Jordan Downey's holiday-themed horror spoof features an appearance by adult-film star Wanda Lust. (Netflix)
ok, so it's really flippin' bad, and the budget was something like 2k, but at least the writer knew it would be terrible and tried to have some fun with it. there are a couple scenes that were really funny and it's pretty quotable. i suppose a homicidal turkey could only have been done with a low budget.
While Thankskilling knows it's awful and cheap and silly, it actually plays on those strengths and the end result is pretty funny at times. Immensely stupid, but funny. The theme song is surprisingly cool.
