I LOVED this growing up. We taped this when it was first on and whenever I stayed home sick I'd watch it. It gets an A for nostalgia value.

One of those movies you can watch over and over again. A bit lengthy at 417 minutes but somehow you feel like it should be longer. When it came out my parents were all over it and I pretty much know everything about it from osmosis. Nostalgia says it's a decent little fantasy story, but the same story could be made even better given a bigger budget and more creative force in production.
