Better than I expected it to be.

This film works because despite being a simple kids' film, it doesn't go for any cheap gross-out gags, and tries to keep both the dialogue and plot events relatively smart. It's also well-paced for that era, so there are rarely any lulls. Besides the basketball game, I don't think there are any noteworthy gags, and it's certainly no rousing entertainment by adult standards, but it's still a highly enjoyable kids' picture, even today.

Flubber was the shit.

A funny movie and one that kids of all ages will love to watch over and over.

One of Walt Disney's most popular '60s comedies. Little more than a TV sitcom expanded to feature length but as such a lot of fun with good FX and a game cast of veteran character actors -- always the Disney comedy's greatest strength. By all means avoid the offensively ugly colorized version.

A well-made piece of Disney fluff with some very amusing scenes.

This is a good movie. It's cheesy throughout, but in that lovable '60s sort of way.

Good for kids, boring for adults

Fred MacMurray is fun as the professor that invents flying rubber (Flubber).

Loved this movie from the first time that I saw it when I was seven to now.

I so wished I could get some flubber. Sadly, I learned the hard way that flubber wasn't real. Thus, a little piece of my childhood died.

A fun, wonky programmer from the second stage of Disney studio history. Walt, as usual, gets the most for his money; watching this version is proof positive that no one who has managed the studio since Walt even remotely "gets it." DO NOT WATCH the colorized version, which drains the movie of its charm. McMurray really sells the character and forever dooms himself to playing likeable boobs in the process. As a light matinee this is hard to beat.
