A solid film with a smart premise, although I wish that premise could have been revealed much later in the film. Its not that the plot loses tension, necessarily, its just that the length of time between when we start to understand what's truly going on in this world and the end of the film makes its message sound preachy and repetitive. Matt Damon's acting is excellent as always, and Terence Stamp and Emily Blunt are good as well.

Kind of charming

I'm a big fan of multiverse theory, and this sort of applies due to branching paths, and of Matt Damon. The chemistry between Damon and Blunt is spot on here and when it was being a smaller more subtle character movie I loved this. It loses it a bit when it goes actiony, though that section is still quite cool, but pulls things together for the end.

Gives me the vibe of what The Matrix may have been like if Neo stayed in the matrix at the beginning of the movie. Also throw a bit of romance in the mix. Definitely not as revolutionary or deep but still a fun ride.

While a bit corny at times as well as somewhat illogical, I didn't dislike the movie; it just wasn't as good as I hoped or thought it could be.

Although it lacks a bit of cohesion, and the philosophic/religious aspects can come across a bit heavy-handed, it's still a fun and interesting movie. The beginning, in particular, along with a few other sequences, are highly enjoyable and exciting. The fact that they could have made a much better movie does not mean that this one is necessarily bad.

Interesting concept, but doesn't quite stick the landing. The film's a little overlong and lacking any real drama. The movie pretty much survives on the combined charisma of Matt Damon and Emily Blunt.

This film has a good, original script. This is more a story about destiny than an action film. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt have good chemistry together. This film might not be what you expect but it is very enjoyable.

The plot and the script are both solid, but really it's Damon and Blunt who make this. Their romance is funny, (somehow) believable and tragic depending on whatever the scene demands, and it all feels effortless. The result is an engagingly smart sci-fi/fantasy/thriller/whatever-this-is; either way, it's extremely entertaining.

One of the better Phillip K. Dick adaptations

A thinking action movie that makes a good double-bill with Inception as "Movies that took the themes of The Matrix and did them better".

A great blend of action and romance, something rarely seen in films today. Damon and Blunt have wonderful chemistry together, making their sudden romance much more believable. As always, Terence Stamp is a ton of fun to watch and is an excellent 'antagonist'. I wish the God aspect could have been a bit more ambiguous and the film does start to falter whenever it thinks it has something "very important" to say. Not a highpoint of cinema by any means, but it does make for a perfect date movie.

The premise of this film is exactly the kind I enjoy a lot, but Nolfi had no reason to turn it into a bland Hollywood romance schlock. Actually, the more I think about this film, the less I like it. Hats? Are you fucking kidding me? Emily Blunt is pretty, not that much of an actress though.
