I remember a time in the early 90s when Murphy was at the height of his career. He was at the top of the world and everything he did was solid gold. How sad it is to see what he's been reduced to in the post-Nutty Professor part of his career. Easily one of the worst films and most depressingly unfunny comedies I've ever seen.

Despite everyone apparently believing this to be cinema's antichrist, it's actually moderately entertaining. While it might not be (read: isn't) Murphy's best work and it falters towards the end, it's not impossible to get drawn into the story and the supporting cast work pretty well. Unfortunately, it's become a byword for horrible filmmaking, and so far too many people leave without giving it a shot. Shame.
