I quite enjoyed this. An exciting adventure and babysitting a scottish drunk. Much better than the last Indiana Jones film but the ending is pretty underwhelming, as I guess it's some sort of set up for a sequel.

A moody mystery quickly turns exciting adventure, the likes of which we've only shared with Indy. Craig is a joy and Snowy is adorable. Everything and everyone look spectacular! Taking full advantage of animation's possibilities for choreographic excellence, Spielberg entertains with many ingenious details in his fun set-pieces (brilliant deadlines). The script gets almost everything right, too (it's also for kids, so the humor is excusable). I could watch it over and over - and I'm sure I will.

It's a brand new motion capture Young Indiana Jones. The comedy is hilarious, and the edge of your seat adventure moments are many. Motion capture animation can look creepy sometimes, but it's masterfully done here. Fun film throughout, and I look forward to the sequel whenever it actually gets made.

It's mostly goofy jokes and action setpieces, but the jokes are good and the setpieces are goddamn incredible. Seriously, it's typical Tintin fare with a silly mystery and rather thin characters but I'll be damned if Spielberg didn't go all out and create some of the most creative mind-blowing setpieces I've ever seen. At times like that, he's firing on all cylinders. It's slow at the beginning and the end but it's worth seeing. Impressive work. Score is not a grade.

The trouble is, the bits that remind you of "Raiders" remind you that you could be watching "Raiders" again instead. At least one fantastic chase scene though.

This is yet another great achievement from Spielberg. It captures the rhythm and charm of the comics and adds an epic Indiana Jones vibe. The visual style is near perfection.

I'm sad to report that I was not moved by Tintin. This strikes me as Spielberg's attempt to cash in on the current comic book movie craze. The story's utterly uninvolving, and Spielberg spends a great deal of time banking on our familiarity with and residual affection for Tintin--who happens to be an eighty-year-old star of a Belgian comic strip who's infinitely more popular on European shores than American. A neat-looking flick, but it left me cold.

Fancy motion-capture animation still weirds me out, and this leans heavily towards children in most areas, but it was a fun time. I'm almost positive that, outside of theaters, my score will decrease on a rewatch.

Visually a treat, and full of adventure. So full I sometimes stopped caring, though, because the characters aren't much to care for; a world where people are shot at your doorstep and without a bat of the eye you're on your way to solving a mystery with more people shooting at you and little regard. In that way it felt a bit like Tom & Jerry. I can't critic the characters, considering it is spawned from a Belgian comic I've never even read, but I wish one could be more sympathetic to the plot.

Great animation sequences, so-so plot. Overall it just felt like it was lacking in the character development department >> Mainly with TinTin. I felt little or no connection with TinTin (unlike Indiana Jones)- Snowy [the dog] had more personality. Haddock was great and actually developed nicely. Seemed the whole film was just a practice-run at motion-capture. A sort-of "hey James Cameron we can do this too!" But I'd watch Avatar again over this, an I didn't really like Avatar.

The most fun I've had in the theater this year since Super 8. That's what Tin Tin is for everyone: pure fun. A genre that is often bungled but, in the hands of two masters, soars to exhilarating heights. It's a great relief to see Spielberg still has it. I want more of these movies, and I want them soon.
