Slightly The Pledge-style thriller with detective descending into schizophrenia while obsessing over unsolvable case; the film itself descends into standard serial-killer shtick. Pity.
Mediocre plot at best with a rather unimpressive cast aside from a few principles. Visually the scares are obviously inspired by The Ring which really has been copied and beaten to death so they just come across as monotonous. However the way it handles the mental illness of the protagonist is relatively fresh but that's the only really redeeming quality of the film. Aside from that it feels like a paint-by-numbers generic thriller that we've seen time and time again.
Mimo wszystko to wciaz niezly film. Nie polecam, nie odradzam.
Made-for-TV-quality tripe that never begins to engage. The biggest insult is the 'based on a true story' guff that bookends the movie: it's about as loosely as Inglourious Basterds is based on WWII. Remind me never to watch another Rob Schmidt/Eliza Dushku combo ever again.
