if you feel the urge to do a remake then at least do something worth watching. our anti-hero muttering lines better placed in van wilder seems out of place. the rest of the cast is cardboard and the movie is a predictable bore.

Not as bad as I'd imagined, decently effective in places. Though I would like to level a nitpick at the title cards that said how many days have passed - either use it more often or not at all. It's so sporadic it's distracting.

One of my favourite Horror films for many reasons thanks to it's spooky storyline based on true events and an outstanding performance from Ryan Reynolds as the crazy George Lutz. Melissa George was also good as George's wife Kathy. There are a few good scares and some very memorable scenes like the babysitter scene. Overall well worth a look for Horror fans.
