Got a lot of Godzilla to it. The efficiency of it is impressive - it's like 10 seconds from mistake to disaster.

Especially now, since Superman Returns, everyone should go back and take a look at Big Blue's origins. The Arctic Giant is one of the Fleisher roto-scope films of the 40's. While the story is simplistic, the artwork is phenominal for the time. Plus, the monster bares a very strong resemblance to Godzilla (who wouldn't make his first appearance until 1954 - inspiration?). Enjoyable and more than a historical footnote.
