Casey Affleck is an absolute WORM in this movie, and I love him for it. every single time he was on the screen, I felt uncomfortable. While some people will accuse this movie of being slow in parts, I found those parts to be interesting and built up the tension of the movie. Why do I love Brad Pitt so much!?

Such a well told story. Don't go into this expecting a western or an action story of some sort because there is no action and it is more of a time piece than a western. There were several tense moments that had me on the edge of my seat. Awesome cast all the way around, with no weakness from the cast. The movie does tend to get a little slow in the middle, but it does pick up steam and has you guessing what is going to happen right around the corner, even though we all have a good idea what

Visually stunning, but overwrought. Didn't care for the narration.

Haunting and beautiful. Scored as good as any movie I've seen. Even the supporting players are all fully fleshed out and exist in three dimensions. The voiceover is in no way cheesy. The pacing is slow, but deliberately and with purpose. I can't believe this fell so short of critical appeal--it's wonderful.

A masterpiece on such a level it is unlikely to be toppled or even equaled in the next several years. Best of the decade.

Even though the film has one of the worst titles in film history the film itself is pretty good. This film has a lot of great acting and the story is very compelling. I wish there were more westerners, like this one, today.

From a cinematic value, this movie can be categorized as one of the better quality movies that i've seen and the performance from Casey Affleck is one to be recognized. If it weren't for the overly slow and dragged out plotline, this might be a much better movie than it was. I found myself a little bored at times without feeling as much suspense as the movie intended.

With breathtaking cinematography, this movie is a powerful mirror into the icon that is Jesse James. Brad Pitt gives the audience a terrific depiction of a man who's falling apart and casey affleck is equally impressive as a man who goes from his biggest admirer to his assasin. the only real downside is the length of the movie.

Saw this twice on the big screen. I couldn't wait for the DVD to see it again. This is a modern classic, and criminally underseen (or rather under-screened). See it in theaters if you can.

Loved it. Very interesting cinematography. Very skillful acting. Brad Pitt is great in this movie. Casey Affleck is is just off the charts. I am a big fan of him because of this movie. A must-see.

Pitt and Affleck are good, but this movie really doesn't have enough substance to merit its length. Still wroth watching, though.

I have no idea how i watched this all the way in one sitting. I really don't. Like i got a history lesson by a old man who got into character and wanted to torture me with pointless tangents.

great film. the final part feels a bit tacked on and overlong though, and the plot is a bit thin around the dick liddel guy but i guess that's understandable

Are we supposed to be wowed by a movie that meanders on for almost three hours about a whiny little bitch and his man-crush, a homicidal paranoiac? The cinematography and direction aren't too bad in places, but this desaturation or "Sepia" effect they're using has been overdone - it's really getting long in the tooth. Casey Affleck did an outstanding acting job portraying an immature, disgusting, insecure little faggot, but how come we're supposed to want to see such people on the big screen?

Where it suffers from dragging a little it makes up for in pretty much everything else. The acting (Pitt & Affleck are outstanding), the score, the cinematography, the costumes, the mood. Everything works together and the product is a very fine film.

masterpiece, like malick doing a lynch movie. fraught with tension between wild beauty and base decadence, like some ritual dance of fathers and sons, dreams and memories, all the way into the abyss.

Great acting by the whole cast, beautiful cinematography and a good script. Overlong scenes make the pacing very slow, but it doesn't ruin the movie.

Impossible not fall in love with the storytelling. And a combination of cinematography & music whose snowy sweetness is nothing less than a feast for the senses.
