Summary: The bears go out for a bicycle ride while their porridge cools. Goldilocks comes along, but stops at grandmother's house instead, where the wolf is waiting. He sends her away, then realized she'd do just fine, so he rushes over to the bears house. Red gets to granny's house, finds a note from the wolf, and calls Goldy. (imdb)

Another toon in which (a) two classic fairy tales get crossed over, and (b) where some characters are aware of how the story goes and even talk to the camera. Maybe this kind of thing was deucedly clever in 1940. Today it's a drag. One small point of interest: do I detect a note of lasciviousness in Papa Bear's tone when he talks about how he's going to find Goldilocks upstairs?
