It tried to be both American action and Hong Kong action movie, and while it tried to do the latter, it was pretty good, but the former and all it's bad jokes and stilted 'broseph' humour was pretty bad.

It's not much of a memorable film, but it's great for passing time. A fun movie with a great performance by Lou Diamond Phillips and a really nice soundtrack.

I'm not sure what this film was supposed to be. You had some over the top action scenes and truly wretched dialog with cuts of Mark Wahlberg saying some sentimental nonsense to China Chow. Everything about the film pretty much sucked. Oh and Lou Diamond Phillips busts some hilariously bad masturbation jokes.

I was kinda shocked that I liked this. I won't seek this movie out to watch it, but if it's on tv, I usually do.

It wasn't an enjoyable watch. That's about all I have to say. It had over-the-top action scenes that didn't make much sense and weren't enjoyable, characters that didn't matter, and a boring plot. You'll like it if you enjoy these kinds of action films, I didn't enjoy it much at all. It doesn't have much to say, and I have even less.

It was great! Good action, comical romance, and a lot of comedy. This film reminded me of Mark Whalberg from "Other Guys".

Outrageously funny film. This is like Jim Carey / Die Hard. And if that doesn't sound great to you, you don't deserve to enjoy this movie!

Call me crazy, but no one on the production staff thought casting an actress named CHINA Chow as a Japanese schoolgirl even a little bit awkward?

Worth quite a bit for comedic value,which I'm pretty sure was purposeful

Can't deny this is enertaining, but the pacing is terrible! The point is most likely for everything to have as quickly as it does, like a 'thrill ride', but I think that this takes away from some parts of the film. Besides a lot of the CGI effects are atrocious and laughable, which does take away from a lot of the high action scenes. It's still a fun watch, but it's not as good as I remembered it being. I guess I grew out of it.

Haven't seen it in over ten years but I recall it being marvelously over-the-top and entertaining, plus China Chow was super-hot here.

This movie is so silly and fun it's great. There are some absolutely stellar parts in the film I'll never forget. Never, ever take this movie seriously and you will have an unbelievably fun time.

Underrated, breezy flick.
