Summary: When a union strike leaves Scottish miner Danny Scoular jobless, he worries about being able to support his family. Desperate for a solution, Danny agrees to fight a bare-knuckle match for a cash prize, not realizing he'll be the sparring slave of gang boss Matt Mason, a ruthless businessman. While he's away training, his wife takes a lover, and it seems Danny will have to fight to keep her … but first, he'll have to fight for his life.
