Eerie Hitchcock film, with a fantastically anti-climactic, and unexpected ending. I love that the bird attacks are left unexplained. The lack of a soundtrack bugs me.

This might be my favorite Hitchcock. It's one of the most frightening movies I have ever seen, and so incredibly suspenseful.

The Birds offers a level of tension that really only Hitchcock has mastered. The whole movie is absolutely excellent.

Surely one of Hitch's better films, if not quite cracking my personal top-10 of his output. After a very slow first act, it picks up and even though it's sort of difficult taking the premise (and, by todays standards, sometimes the execution) seriously, it does ultimately work, mostly because you probably, the next time you walk past a group of birds, will have small flash of some of these scenes and, for a short moment, think: "What if... nooo, they wouldn't."
