There is a reason everybody praise the miniseries and yet nobody remembers this. Don't get me wrong; the characters are charismatic and the last 20 minutes are actually very good, but the rest of the film is simply dull. I wanted to like this film, but it's true. I have faith in 'Boys from the Blackstuff', the following miniseries which I have yet seen, but this is really worth skipping.
