Good fun, if admittedly far too long and tonally all over the shop.

Slightly slow but excellent climax; a classic.

I'm not any big fan of blues, but the music is what makes this movie special.

Good Lord the car chases in this film are good! Some exceptionally funny scenes round out this film.

The sensitivity to cultural discord often results in something quite touching, like the sight of these two white Negroes enclosed in an elevator and showered with a Muzak rendition of "The Girl from Ipanema." Aykroyd and Belushi look well and move well in their anonymous, Mafia-hitman suits and sunglasses, but it is never resolved satisfactorily what we are supposed to make of them as musicians.

I enjoy it for the Chicago set pieces, but otherwise this movies as aged as bad as blues music.

Once you get passed the idea that a movie is supposed to make sense, and once you let your body go with the flow of the music, this is a very entertaining movie. I loved the music, and I loved the action. Though to be frank, it did take about an hour, before I had gotten used to the kind of ridiculousness I was watching.

I was expecting to like this, but it's way too long and only funny occasionally.

A hilarious, fast paced, over the top, fun, good time. If you don't like this something is seriously wrong with you. Great soundtrack, two great car chases, and enough great cameos to satisfy anyone. A classic.
