Some parts fun, others flat out ridiculous and hard to believe. There's good music, but you do not need half of the story. Just really mediocre.

Interesting look at this little piece of history, tried a bit hard at times.

pretty decent movie, really not that funny, but it'd got a story and some good acting. people say it's better than it really is, but it's not a waste of time by any means.

"We glorify the past when the future dries up." Fairly uninspired nostalgia trip, with a lack of likeable characters and no real plot to speak of. Branagh as the cartoon villain is at least fun to watch, which can't be said about the one dimensional "good guys". The soundtrack is enjoyable but also very obvious.

Fun to watch. Deleted scenes are worth watching, they were deleted primarily for length of the movie.

for a movie about rock 'n roll, this is quite possibly the least rocking two hours i've ever experienced. not very much roll, either!

It's made an odd impression on me. Some parts were fun enough, some actually very funny, but then the bad guys, the plot in general ... some parts just seem a bit indifferent or weak. What really makes it worth seeing is how incredibly cool Bill Nighy and Nick Frost are, though. Great efforts. And January Jones? ... I'm ... I ... [sigh].

Indulgent, but i'm slightly ashamed to say i enjoyed it.

Great soundtrack wasted on the most banal, routine fucking rock movie since Empire Records. Channels the spirif, not of the sixties, but of those cheap lifeless compilation albums of the 90s.
