A mixture of comedy and action that pretty much succeeds on both counts even though it isn't anything to write home about. One quotable line may make it into our everyday lexicon, "This ain't rocket surgery!"

Just a lot of slow motion over some rock songs for me. I don't think this is exiting in any way. It's just makes a very very unnecessarily long movie. I think runtime was actually 80 minutes or so, with the slow motions, it has gone up to nearly 120. Don't like these kind of action movies. Never will. Oh, and Christianity bullshit does not justifies main characters' actions. Even though there's some other opinions about the matter on news and stuff. The movie presents their actions as "holy".

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is, more so than anything else, a cash-in film. The first Boondock Saints made a lot of money with home media, and therefore, we got a second one. It feels rushed, going against everything that the first film stood for, while also going to prove that the first film's problems came from its writer and director, not from anywhere else. This is another poor action film, only this time, there is less action, making it even worse than the original.

Watching this movie caused such a chain-reaction of stupidity and embarrassment that it resulted in a collapse of the space-time continuum, sending a shockwave of Terrible Ideas to travel backwards in time, putting the idea "Hey, why don't we have another kid?" into my dads head more than 31 years ago. So, what I'm trying to say is; fuck you, Boondock Saints 2.

The first movie in the series is definitely better but this one still has some charm. There are still plenty of funny moments and some nice surprises. The character that Julie Benz plays is not as good as Willem Dafoe's character in the first one. Check this one out if you like the first one

Every character in this is on one of two poles: completely awesome and cool or a bumbling idiot, there is no gray area. Even though I never thought the first was great I had to admit it did have a fair share of great moments. This, however, merely has a handful of OK jokes. It's quite cute that Duffy portrays the Saints as these massive celebrities almost like he thinks his movie made an incredible smash with movie fans. You'll appreciate this a lot more if you've seen the documentary Overnight.

Crap. Everything that was unique and entertaining in the first rough gem of a film is turned into a slap-sticking turd in this one. The jokes present in almost every single scene fall flat whereas the action remains laughable througout. If the Saints were real, the director would find himself the proud owner of a pair of shiny new pennies. Avoid.

holds up fairly well to the original with only a bit of sub-par writing--the acting, story, and direction are, however, excellent. i was actually quite impressed on how well this was handled, it can definitely satisfy the cult following of the original in search of more vigilante justice.

More laughable violence accompanied by hackneyed one liners and a super-thin plot. This film is so ludicrous that it becomes a comedy when it is not supposed to be. Julie Benz cannot live up to the job done by Willem Dafoe in the first film and creates a more one-dimensional, unemotional (but smokin' hot) FBI agent helping the "good" criminals than I ever thought possible in the first film. Still, Clifton Collins Jr has a good turn as Romeo, and adds some necessary spunk to the dialog.

Just more of the same. All Saints Day is a product of poor writing, a misplaced soundtrack, and subpar performances. Duffy simply replaced crazy long-haired Italian guy with a crazy long-haired Mexican guy, and replaced crazy cop guy with crazy cop woman. It has its moments, but they are few and far between.

I expected a lot from Troy Duffy, especially after the first part. I was expecting to be disappointed at the same time. This movie was very disappointing at the end. The movie was just created for the fan base, but disappointing the fans at the same time. This movie attempts to be funny but it fails at that too. Overall many of the fans of the first Boondock Saints will be disappointed.

Not good, but not nearly as bad as you've heard. Actually, I'd put both BS films (ha!) at the same quality level. The most major difference is this one seemed to feel like, at any moment, it might fall drunkenly into self-parody. Between the constant anal-rape, Godfather 2 and Three Stooges references, I was anticipating a Mel Brooks song-and-dance somewhere - and would have appreciated it.
