Summary: Based on a true story, Tod Lubitch is born with a deficient immune system (not unlike being born with AIDS). As such, he must spend the rest of his life in a completely sterile environment. His room is completely hermetically sealed against bacteria and virii, his food is specially prepared, and his only human contact comes in the form of gloved hands. The movie follows his life into a teenager. (imdb)
Genre: Drama
Country: USA
Directed By: Randal Kleiser

Nice chemistry between Travolta and Glynnis, which largely makes up for the shortcomings in the script (and possibly direction). JT's only trouble is when he does the wide-eyed, gurgling naif bit (although again that's probably not his fault). Final song is sung by Paul Munchkin. The last sequence has a nice feel, like Saroyan's "Beautiful White Horse" (and also explains the need for the open space in his bubble!)--but is a bit hard to believe (maybe it could've worked better as a dream?).

A man who in reality died of AIDS plays the father of a boy with no immune system. 'Nuff said.
