Simple but fun, and well-shot cute short.

Interesting, but boring.

Simple, naive but not boring. Actually in small villages of Iran this story is a major issue for children.

Definitely looks good, but pretty boring.

In storytelling terms, Kiarostami doesn't afford the viewer much to grasp at. Instead, his simplistic device finds effective redemption in the rhythmical humanist style its director brings to proceedings, capturing his minor dog vs. boy dilemma with filmic grace and winning sympathy. Still, minor stuff.

There's not much to this, except that it hints a little bit at what is to come from Kiarostami later in his career - down-to-earth cinema. The dog is really cute and looks at the cameraman a lot.

Picturesque little film shot with style and a nice soundtrack, though it feels a little empty.
