For what it's worth; intentional or otherwise; this is VERY much based on the old Twilight Zone episode "A Caller", titled "The Call" on the anniversary release DVD set. The old woman from that is replaced with a Vietnam era widow, otherwise it's the same thing; just slightly drawn out.
