I actually expected something more action-packed, but got something possibly better. Mind you, it's still not very good, and Weir progressed massively from this kind of thing later. It's sometimes amusingly absurd.

Way better than I ever thought a movie with this title would (or had the right) to be. Weir takes the B movie and makes it high art.

I can't really figure out what this wants to be -- at times it looks like it's developing into a modernized Australian take on The Wicker Man, but then it gets muddied up with an overly simplistic criticism of consumerism and maybe some kind of statement about youth culture, I think? Weird movie. Almost wish it lived up to its title instead.

Having nothing happen for almost the entire duration of your film is a very, very bad directorial choice if you're making a grindhouse movie.

Weir's first film effort is too dry for its own good.

Some interesting ideas are left fatally undeveloped in an ultimately aimless attempt at social satire.

completely uneventful and boring, it has nothing to offer except a car impaling a man--i never thought i'd see that--too bad even the more up beat ending is still boring.
