Very good acting and a substantial story that defies expectations elevate this film well above the average indie. It does suffer from some irritating handheld camerawork and rotten music in a couple of places, but that's a small price to pay for such a thought-provoking experience. It doesn't even give you reasons or backstory for some pretty significant elements--things just are the way they are and it's up to you to decide how you feel about it all. I really enjoyed this one.
