Disappointing.Geat actors, especially Le Coq (declining Chirac) and a few interesting sequences on the exercice of state power. But the movie could have been much more critical.Decisive moments that depaint Sarko's decisive opportunism during the EU-referendum and work-market flexibility reform crisis aren't deepened enough to the contrary of his private troubles.Nothing on the international and on Sarko's programm:no clear link between his authoritarism toward his team and his upcoming policies.

Podalydès portrayal is a treat of sort, nailing every twitch, stance and idiosyncracy of Sarko (such a unintentionally funny guy, seriously), whose longing for a place in the spotlight and Napoleonic complex led to both his estrangement with his wife aswell as run for Presidency. I doubt non-Europeans will find much to chew on here and some parts could've been trimmed down but it's still a mildy amusing political satire.
