Definitely below par, but not as much as you'd expect from the look of it. Again, I must reiterate my fascination of Cusack, as I think he acts down to every last detail, he never loses his character. True, they are often alike, but still. The film fell deep at the supporting characters and the parts about the police-woman who was from 1st minute just TOO obviously involved. The black military dude was abysmal too, although he DID have the line of the film: "Shiiit. I hate scenery."

Morgan Freeman's character portrayal is a draw. The writing kills the movie. Once Freeman is in Cusack's hands there is little reason to keep him there. I can almost buy everything up to the first night in the cave. How anyone gets any sleep is beyond me. But after we have to believe that an elite ex-military team can't catch some civilians on foot with a prisoner, that they can't hit a barn door with semi-automatic weapons, and that deep cover military assassins won't waste everyone in the way

I had no idea that two of my favorite actors had made this movie. Since I had never heard of this film I had low expectations. I enjoyed the film on the whole. The plot was not the greatest but Cusack and Freeman were good and the kid wasn't bad either.

This movie should of went straight to video... Predictable script... very boring.. You forget the movie as you watch it... I felt like their was no movie chemistry between all the actors... I don't know how Cusack and Freeman got conned doing this movie.

Overall, boring. While there were a few exciting parts, it wasn't really the action film it seemed it would be, and the acting from Cusak and Freeman could have been much better.

I had hopes for this one, after seeing some great Direct-To-DVD movies with good casts. Sadly, this is not one of them. Poorly plotted, poorly placed, a terrible script, and other than Cusack and Freeman, very B-Movie performances. It almost felt like it was going to pick up an hour in, but it quickly fell flat again... I can only hope those two can get another project together. One that doesn't suck.

Woah. How did Freeman or Cusack every get conned into this one. Totally forgettable action thriller that would have gone straight to video if not for its A-listers.

It sounded interesting.. I thought Morgan Freeman and John Cusack would make it a good movie, but I guess I was overrating it because they are both one of my favourite actors.
It was a little below average, not completely a bad movie, it just could have done with something else to make it better. The acting was also average, a surprise. I wouldn't really recommend this to anyone, but I'm not stopping you to see it, go ahead if it sounds like a good movie to you.

I hate to rate this so low I love the team up of Morgan Freeman and John Cusack but in the end I must be true and say that this movie really holds no stock into what has been coming out. It is your run of the mill crime drama that is very flat and boring. The other actors in the movie were pretty bad and could have taken it a little more seriously, but it is what it is. If you can get for a penny on amazon go for it. Don't pay much more for it.
