Passes the time.

Fails as both, as a horror movie and as a comedy.

Amusing if at times slightly underwhelming comedy-horror, this packs enough laughs into its runtime to make up for any misses (or indeed bizarre plot strands that start up then go nowhere). Plenty of overt nods to many classics (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre being the most obvious/consistent) and an appropriate tone-setting score help things along. Reece Shearsmith is right at home too. Kept me interested right up to the credits with a genuine "who's gonna make it out??" curiosity.

It's a horror movie and yet it's delightfully hilarious! Absolutely entertaining!

Not much horror, but lots of tasty splatter mixed in with a liberal dose of British wit. It's cool to see Gollum playing a human...especially one with a beard.

A really enjoyable, little known film with a good cast and great gore FX. Andy Serkis needs to be in everything.

Your basic gore horror comedy.

There's a general feeling here that nobody tried very hard, which is good as nothing was really achieved either. Could have been easily made much better by not casting Jennifer Ellison and maybe having a bit of a think about the plot before they started filming.

Impressive comic-horror pastiche at once following the code of the horror movies and, well, taking the piss out of it (i.e. having one character and the *spoiler* "unspeakable evil" stand around looking at eachother before going at it cat-and-mouse)

Absolutely entertaining and over-the-top in its horror-comedy styling. The tone is set early, which made it easier for me to not care when the silly was cranked up to eleven later on. Definitely worth a watch.
