That David Lynch chose to make just this movie is far more odd than the fact he made any of his more well-known and purportedly bizarre major pictures. If this little comedy is not quite successful, it nevertheless manages to conjure a certain peculiar charm. Nice to hear Harry Dean Stanton sing.

at around half an hour it's STILL too long, it's never funny and incredibly sparse. stanton did a decent job, but he didn't have much to work with here and lynch writes such a bad script that it's nearly offensive.

Bizarre short that comes out somewhere between a throwaway Monty Python sketch and Twin Peaks' weirdest moments. People talking without communicating is a Lynch specialty - as seen in Rabbits, the Black Lodge of Twin Peaks, and the neighbor scene in Inland Empire - and it's done very well here, with both hilarious and slightly disturbing effects. The second sequence is trippy but not that engaging, and a little too long. Stanton and Nance are awesome, as always.

Painfully dull (and it's only 25 minutes long), annoyingly decadentic and overall it's so bad that it's depressing. 5 points for maybe 3 charmingly bizzare moments.

Decently funny for the first ten minutes or so, then it drags and gets bizarre (and not in a good Lynchian way). Leaves me wondering what the hell the purpose of this was.

Overall funny but too slow of a delivery. If everything could be compressed more it'd be funnier, but then it wouldn't be Lynch.

Less successful Lynch comedy. Sound like he's got more fun than anybody in the audience. Harry Dean and Jack Nance did their best.
