Wonderful little gem. Reminds of Hitchcock to some degree.

I love how this film looks and feels just like any other Mexican flick of the time, but as you go on watching you realize that none but Buñuel could have made this.

A great Buñuel film. It may be a little less hard hitting on the social commentary front and a little less creative visually than his best work, but both those aspects are definitely there and the story is just wonderfully entertaining. The acting is also quite good, especially from Ernesto Alonso.

Amusing tale, and I liked it a lot, especially the more I reflect on it. Felt a bit... oh, insubstantial, perhaps. Not one of Buñuel's best, but a worthwhile hour and a half nonetheless.
