Another great Flynn movie with David Niven. They make a great pair of pilots.

flynn's got the magic touch when it comes to adventure. even when he's out of his element and put into a war movie he makes it shine. i'm also pretty sure he had one of the best agent's ever, because pretty much every movie he starred in was awesome. great war movie, worth seeing more than once.

The story is sentimental yet frank, and tells the story of a stalemated war where recruit after recruit is met with certain death as a last resort to hold off an enemy who would rather be back home. Wars are brought on by crazed men in suits, though they are faught by real people. After watching this I'd have to say that I have hardly seen anything that better illustrates that fact than this film. It is beautifully photographed, well played, and the portrayal of friendship is not to be missed.
