Summary: The government sets up a Zombie squad after an epidemic has made the world run rampant with living corpses. Raimi, Mercer, Kuller, and others head off to Ohio to try and find a cure to the epidemic but soon run into a crazy cult of zombie lovers who are set on preserving the zombies and letting a new world be born because they believe that it's God's will. When Mercer gets infected with the zombie virus, Raimi and the others must work quickly to find a cure and avoid the cult. (imdb)

Crummy low budget horror movie about a zombie killing squad searching for a serum that will cure the zombie apocalypse. They run across a group of survivors led by a religious freak who are stockpiling the undead in cages for nefarious purposes. The acting is strictly amateur, but some of the gore shots are pretty tasty. There's also a quality number of zombie extras for something that obviously has almost no money...there's a few scenes with good sized hordes of shambling ghouls.

honestly, it would have been better without the cult aspect, but it's really not that bad of a b-zombie flick, it's got the gore--and i know you want it--and it's got zombies, of course you want that, and what's wrong with that?
