Attempts to hook you with the "what happened to my mother?" storyline, but this flick pales in comparison both to well-done exorcism movies, as well as your average run-of-the-mill handi-cam horror. The only aspect which afforded me any emotional investment was the daughter wondering if she would "go crazy" eventually too. The story didn't feel genuine (and even the most out-there stories can be made to feel genuine). A few serviceable jump-scares. But hey, at least it was better than "Shutter".

Very abrupt ending. I just thought the film would finally get faster and there would be some more interesting stuff but it just ends. Overall too slow and not scary at all.

To put into perspective how bad this film is, I saw it in a packed cinema full of kids who barely looked old enough to get in and who have clearly never seen a horror film before and even THEY were laughing and walking out. On the other hand this is one of the best comedies in years. I genuinely laughed throughout the entire runtime, at the films expense of course, and was extremely entertained. If I was to score this film normally it would probably be in minus figures, it's just too damn funny.

Nearly irredeemable; incompetent on almost every level. The script is utter piss, the pseudo-handheld camerawork is pathetic and the acting is barely passable.

More found-footage silliness, here profiling a young woman whose mother killed three people during an exorcism, who now hopes to try and save her mother once and for all. Fernanda Andrade is disastrously uncharismatic in the lead, but that's hardly the film's greatest failing: it's incredibly lazy, insubstantial, unsurprising, and unscary, and if the ending is not as damnable as some have claimed, it too shows how indifferent everyone involved was. A depressingly useless little piece of shit.

I love horror films and found footage style ones particularly, but this is just awful. It's mostly very bland, occasionally unbearably stupid and the "ending" is an absolute slap in the face to people who paid money to see it.

While the intention of shooting a movie as a documentary is to propose a greater sense of reality, it almost always backfires, making you realize the absurdity of camera angles and locations. Never has it been worse than here. If the Vatican has a secret asylum, would they let an illegal exorcism happen on the grounds while being filmed? No. No they wouldn't.
