Quite shocking, not for the squeemish. I enjoyed it because it evoked strong emotions, with its filthy amoral portrayals. I also enjoyed the minimal work as far as setting goes. A lot of bitter acting in a tense environment. This movie disturbed my girlfriend.

I was pleasantly surprised. One of the better post-apocalyptic movies out there. Yes, there are some questions to be answered, but I didn't care. That's what happens when shit hits the fan. There doesn't always have to be a hollywood answer for everything. The degeneration of the group dynamics was quite a show, what would YOU do? Great watch.

"Oh, that's why I've never seen most these people in other movies." Michael Biehn manages to out grit a nuclear apocalypse. The rest of the cast is utter dogshit and you wait for them to die. There's the divide.

Would have been a lot better with properly developed characters and more subtlety. Now it's a rather ridiculous descent into madness for a group of people stuck in an uncomfortable place, making the whole thing rather unpleasant to watch. The plot thread that comes out of nowhere and is never even getting close to resolved just reeked of a lazy way to add some variety. Michael Biehn is hilariously gritty though, and almost makes the whole thing worth sitting through.

Quite similar in tone to the original "Night of the Living Dead" in the sense of regular people being put in extraordinary circumstances, with some losing, and some desperately clinging to their humanity. Aside from the French ending, and almost going off the rails for 20 minutes or so, a solid entry in the apocalypse genre.

Definitely a feel-bad-movie. It's one of those movies rhat explore people's dark sides in extreme situations. Sometimes disgustingly so, mostly because I think a lot of people can just turn into monsters given the "right" circumstances. Worth a watch.

I love Michael Biehn, but the directing made him look like he cannot act a lick. It did build up in the middle and had some good suspense, but overall not the most well done of films.

Nice beginning (before titles) and okay ending, but the film itself was pointless, no sense of rhythm, no proper characterizing, and the whole thing was just a collection of episodic scenes. Michael Biehn and Lauren German were acting okay.

I enjoyed 'The Divide' but felt it would have benefited from more answers and less chaos toward the end. German and Biehn were excellent.
