SPOILER ALERT: Possibly one of the most fascinating and well executed film. It's cute, humorous, and fun all around. Also, to the people asking "Why did he leave at the end?". Was the obvious allegory of death not apparent? He may live in a fantasy world but he was in no way immortal.

An endearing short film that is held back a bit by its heavy handedness. There was a failure of imagination with some of the metaphors, and they are saved only by the cute art design.

why did he leave that fantasy-book-world? :(
kind of destroyed the romanticism of that whole mythology.

Though the animation is neat and it's a genuinely endearing love-letter to the joys of reading, its metaphors are a little too heavy-handed a little too often.
