Summary: After a teen's premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.
This movie tries real hard to be Part 2 and just comes across as a poor imitation. All twists/reactions to being hunted down by death are derivative of everything done in the previous instalments, which is made painfully obvious with the x-ray skeleton slayings that end up the most enjoyable part of the film. It's attempts at dark humor fall flat and come off as cheesy in the wrong way. Features infuriating characters that actively and literally fight against self preservation. Forgettable.
Goofy third sequel in the Final Destination series and an OK way to waste an afternoon. Initially released in 3D, it would be useless seeing it in two dimensions. The film's limited appeal is in having chunks of meat sliding directly at you. Highlights include Krista Allen as a "MILF", a cross-burning gone awry, and a climax in a movie theater showing a 3D movie.
Bit gimmicky with the 3D, watched it in 2D. Decent acting, pretty clever deaths and well thought out. I'm a fan of these, and this is an improvement over the wonky third film. Death is a great horror villain. Who didn't see that coming?
Balances occasional flashes of wit against an appalling amount of stupidity to create the first (and last) genuinely bad Final Destination film. Where did these actors come from? How soon can they leave?
It's got some great kill scenes, but the movie only exists as a vehicle to move from kill scene to kill scene. It's just the same plot as the previous three movies. I would say something about insulting the intelligence of the movie going public, but I've misplaced my soapbox.
