Almost scene-for-scene faithful to the novel by Michael Moorcock, this is a real odd duck that some will find difficult both to follow and swallow. I enjoyed the book, so I enjoyed the movie -- both are eccentric, light mind-benders. Fuest also gave us the equally stylish DR. PHIBES and some good episodes of THE AVENGERS before seemingly disappearing off the face of the earth.
