I rate this so low because i felt it attempted to be overly artistic to the point where only a smarter than average person could even figure out what the hell is going on. I hate when films try to do this. It was a very very slow film as well. Alot of people rate this movie very high and yes the acting was ok (over dramatic imo) and some of the special effects were nice, the plot was all over the place and i hated the ending.

After I watched the movie, I couldn't move. And not because I was so emotionally enthralled.....more that I was so emotionally disturbed. This is such a bizarro movie and the message could have been much more clear if it didn't have all the....strangeness to it.

Beautiful movie. Incredible visuals, intense emotions.

A film that at first defies and then exceeds your expectations. The cinematography is wonderful and the score is great as well. Ultimately the parts of the plot taking place parallel to the main one feel a little forced at times, but you get the impression that subsequent viewings will smooth over some of the nitpicks.

Excellent visualwork, the plot is simple, yet detailed. Not the best Rachel Weisz' movie, but her role is well executed. Hugh Jackman, on the other hand, does a magnificient work, specially in the 2500 timeline. One of my favorites from Aronofsky, next to Pi. Special mention to Clint Mansell's score, one of his best to date.

I love it, I don't understand it, but I love it. This is, visually and tonally, a very beautiful movie but a little confused in its storytelling and metaphor.

It starts off confusing as hell and is in general more opaque than it needs to be, but once you get over the details the pure emotion will blow you away. The essence of this romance doesn't need a plot or anything else added to it. It's just extremely powerful.
