spillane is the best representation of hammer i've seen yet, the sad thing is that he's a god awful actor too. the biggest problem is that spillane takes up ninety percent of the screen time, which while i love his hard boiled grittiness, is so cringe worthy that it's sad. oh, and tack on extra points for the awesome ending.
