Excellent performance by Louise Dresser in her role as the local crazy woman getting a chance to transform into old glory when she by accident ends up accusing her own son of a murder. The son is played Jack Pickford who does his usual toned down melancholy stuff. And his love interest is a fairly early role for the lovely Constance Bennett, who'd receive much greater fame once sound came into play. A sweet emotional film, lacking anything spectacular to make it great.
