Light-hearted drama with a fine cast of stalwart British actors... and a young Diana Dors, who pops up every so often to say something risqué (for the 50s, anyway). It proves that greed and skullduggery in professional sport is absolutely not a 21st century invention, and contains a hilarious discussion of the Bosman ruling 40-odd years before it was implemented.
