Not too bad, from to time it's even good, but most of it just drags on with uninteresting circus bits that serve no purpose other than padding. The climax is also pretty laughable.

Its much more enjoyable if you see this for what it really is; a two and a half hour commercial for Ringling Brothers - with an unconvincing and predictable love story thrown in.

I just wish there was a version that had cut out all the lengthy circus numbers and that lousy voice over that sounds like a bad educational program. James Stewart's clown with a mysterious past is actually kind of great and the train wreck scene is also quite good.

time wise the circus antics outdoes the romance/drama, but the best thing in this movie happens to be jimmy stewart (as a clown), who knew? it's not exactly good, but it does have its few nuggets of magical movie making.
