While the story has a good premise, the execution was average at best. The scenes did not flow. Adam Carolla just played himself--although I know it is semi-autobiographical. It had potential to be funny and re-watchable but just misses. It wasn't a train wreck yet it was somewhat unsatisfying.

Carolla really carries this film; some of his quotes and scenes are comic gold. The story isn't bad, and there's even some emotional realism. However, the direction is awful, a lot of scenes are cheesy and unnecessary. (what's with Mike the boss being such a cartoonish villain, and that scene of him trying to break Jerry's hand?) The ending to the last fight single-handedly drove the rating down a few points, contradicting the film's own message.Recommended, but Ace is the only reason to watch.

Carolla is a funny dude and I liked the gal but this is a very modest production

I went in thinking this movie would be crap, but was pleasantly surprised by Adam's performance.

I wanted to love this because Adam Carolla is the best radio personality ever but it was just good, not great. It was obviously semi-autobiographical because Adam was a boxing instructor, a carpenter, etc. and I had heard some of the jokes before via his show. It is still funny and worth watching if you're a fan of Carolla.
