Shaw Brothers epic about a Mongolian warlord and his 13 sons. A couple of the sons are jealous of the two most favored sons, so they join up with their father's enemy and crazy battles commence. Lots of instances of less than 10 men vs a whole army with spears...some awesome fighting and sense of scale. Hundreds of extras and horses really sell these big battles. At the climax, Ti Lung single handedly takes on wave after wave of spearmen. A little dated, with some cheesy acting, but inspiring.
