To think I thought this would be somehow related to 'The Hills Have Eyes' was rather funny as it was far from it. A slow moving and rather boring Horror film at times, that only really picked up in the last 15 minutes of the film. Acting was OK, storyline a bit on the 'meh' side, but overall it's just one of those Horror films that isn't what you would call bad, but it's not worth watching. Sophie Monk however does play her role very well and its good to see an Aussie making it big in the US :)
It's certainly an interesting concept, but it didn't quite work for me. I think that it would work best if you go into it with only the most basic understanding of the plot- avoid even the trailers, because they spoil too much of what happens. Having said that- the characters are unlikeable, Sophie Monk isn't a particularly good actress, and the only player who I enjoyed watching was William Sadler (Where has he been?!). Babyface is a nifty antagonist, but he should have been in a better movie.
Just like every other new horror attempt. Bad. And this vicious psychopathic killer that's pretty much a rip off of leatherface has one line in the movie. And he has a very nice voice, not really something you'd expect him to have. Somebody told me it makes him creepier, nope, it's just dumb.
this movie reminds me alot of In the mouth of madness with the feel and the atmosphere. Its a funny little horror movie, with a wacked out ending...plus you got Sophie Monk and she is not singing....
