Basically Taken mashed with Hardcore mashed in with Death Wish mashed in with Mad Max (CAUSE ITS AUSTRALIAN , MATE). If you want a revenge flick where a middle aged man goes around destroying Australian dicks (LITERALLY), look no further. YEEESH.

Uncomprosmising mix of revenge and torture. Mostly I hate those stupid tortue flicks, but the Horseman is more than only torment. Itīs a journey into the desperation of a father who losts his daughter. Thereīs no hero, no superpowers or unlogic twists. Just rage by a person on a nervous breakdown who kills a bunch of bastards which deserve to die. Great flick!! Hail to the vigilante justice.

With a vengeance storyline that is done in a serious way, this does walk a thin line between the moral issues and the extreme violence. It feels like as it goes on it is trying to be more than blood for blood's sake, potentially making it an admirable work...then it devolves into more violence and generic story twists for the sake of it, turning it into another pointless, post-Millennium, extreme genre film.

this is Hardcore meets Death Wish...its a violent revenge tale..most of this is told in flashback..and this movie is unapologetic, cruel and very bloody...its a good little revenge film...and the ending is pretty sick as well..this movie does not lose any speed or has any moment to just stop..its non stop..and very brillantly told...

One of the better revenge-flicks I've seen.

A brutal and violent revenge film where once the girl dies, the dad goes nuts. Although there are a couple of plot holes, the two leads do a great job of keeping the film interesting.
