Interesting and compelling enough. "The Hunting Party" isn't breaking any new ground, but it has a message, which it communicates effectively, and with a splash of humour also. Gere, Howard and Eisenberg all carry the film well with solid performances, and Shepard directs nicely, in particular his pacing is supurb. All-in-all a solid and enjoyable drama.

Aptly named and well acted with good performances by Gere and Howard. Recommended.

Dark comedy, serious message and some biting satire. good stuff.

I was expecting an indifferent film which tried to bring some political message and used some unbelievable action sequences to do this, but I must admit, I was mistaken. The story was actually quite solid, the premise was believable at least and I can only use positive comments to describe the performances of the various actors.

Good film.

What I learned from 'The Hunting Party' - you can walk in, catch, and carry away an international war criminal from his territory, where people are sympathetic to him and support him, even if you are just a journalist and not a bounty-hunter and thus have zero experience in this, just like that - you only need to be American.

It's kind of a comedy with some thriller aspects thrown in the mix, but I appreciated the political message the most, especially the message before the credits roll.
